I received a PowerPlug from Constellation for beingness a customer. It works with an app that allows yous to remotely control whatever devices (appliances, lights etc…) that you have connected to the PowerPlug. It was a neat little gift until it wasn't. I've been unable to get on their app considering information technology won't recognize my name. After countless phones over several months they notwithstanding tin can't become it figured out! When I telephone call now it's the same old, "Nosotros're working on it, will telephone call you dorsum" etc… A large amount of wasted fourth dimension with no results. Now they don't return calls or offering any assistance except to apologize profusely when I inquire to what the status of my piece of work order is. So I have a plug that is essentially just that a plug. I'm so frustrated with their incompetence and indifference I don't run across keeping Constellation Energy when it comes time to renew.

We take used this company for several years and have been pleased with their service. Plus their rates accept been fair. During peak times, adjustments in relation to usage have been appropriate. They have been very responsive during whatsoever ability outage or other issues that have ascend.

I finished a iii-year contract with Constellation energy. And switch to some other energy provider. Unbeknownst to me constellation seemingly sent me a renewal notice that I did non get. As a upshot of my switching to another company they hitting me with $150 cancellation fee for the contract that renewed itself without my review. Calling constellation resulted in a unsatisfying call that indicated The just way to get rid of the $150 charge was to renew my contract with constellation. This should non exist permitted. Contracts should be required to be reviewed by the buyer at renewal and I believe that constellation energy is violating some sort of consumer protection for the land of Maryland.

If you use this visitor and desire to pay automatically past credit card, be prepared for a disaster. The web interface is horrible and the client service part is partly outsourced, and doesn't work well at all. Use Constellation only if you want to waste matter time on concur and deal with constant billing problems. This is easy with all of my other utilities and they have fabricated an absolute mess of it.

I enrolled to Constellation on a Friday and got an e-mail from them that they have cancelled my enrollment and should I have questions contact them. I wanted to understand the rationale behind the cancellation and a Parrot (Becky was the proper name I suppose) they telephone call equally their Customer Agent, parroted 4 times "A Constellation Energy Customer Representative will call to provide you with the details" and that there is nothing she can practice.
Fearing the worst, I enrolled into another REP. And so I get a phone call on Monday that I am successfully enrolled to Constellation!!! I had and then call their wretched Customer Support again!!! The line was extremely bad. I pity Marla, the agent who tried to help me. I could non hear a give-and-take she was saying. Poor matter did attempt to help. All the same, apparently, post my call to them Constellation went ahead, reviewed my instance and canonical; AFTER CANCELLING my enrollment. Now I cannot go back to my previous provider and the take to await for the new provider to enroll me... All in all an extremely bad experience. STAY Away FROM THIS ONE....

Constellation is a dishonest and "scam" of a company. Representative stopped into our facility 2-iii times a month for at least 6 months, brought bagel and donuts. He seemed similar a genuine good guy, so nosotros signed upwardly. From the kickoff, the gentleman disappeared. Stopped answering his cell telephone. The rates we agreed on were doubled, energy bill was doubled. Nosotros moved to a bigger location less than a twelvemonth into the contract they hit u.s. with a $550 cancellation accuse and 3 month service charges. Please Exercise Not Permit THIS COMPANY IN YOUR Part!! It's a Scam!!

Bait and Switch Operation. Quoted me a price of 8 cents a KWH, but and so inverse to 16 cents a KWH for anything less than 500 KWH, and a minimum of $80 a month no matter how much electricity I will use....I am in the process of canceling the request for service and I am notwithstanding with the old Provider and with this feel on the phone to cancel the request for service I experience they volition be a NIGHTMARE company to deal with...Customer Service Providers are sitting in India and Philippines...accept no inkling...They hand upwards on you lot to avoid the cancelation....Avert this company similar COVID-19...Social distance this company forever or become some therapy planned alee of time if you desire to deal with them for a year.

Updated Review on 06/12/2020: Please practice not believe anything y'all read near Constellation Energy at ** or **. These sites have many identical reviews despite representing customers from different states. This similarity indicates the reviews are manipulated. This particular review is an update from a previous review sent to ConsumerAffairs in April. It has non however been posted because they are however waiting for a response from Constellation. Other review sites described in particular the predatory marketing practices of this brokerage company (they and their parent company EXELON are not really free energy companies at all, much similar Enron).
They convinced my married woman, who has dementia, into irresolute gas providers. So, when I attempted to change the account to my name (because of my wife'southward limited chapters to bank check the monthly billing emails) they asked for a ridiculous disconnect and reconnect fee. Since they are a brokerage company, and not a utility company, they have cipher to practice with actually turning your gas utilities on or off. And then they separate the account, only did non send me any of the bills or history from the old account. Information technology looked as though they did non credit one of my payments, but information technology was actually credited to the old account for which I had NO information.
Later months of lament (both directly and through Better Business Bureau complaints) they finally explained that the payment was credited to the old account. Of course, I would not know this because I was locked out of that account in my wife's name. Finally, I asked them to send me a cypher-balance bill from the old account so I can pay the concluding bill on the other business relationship and be assured they are not hiding any additional debt claims that I don't know nigh. They have not responded even after I sent registered letters to their CEO and the CEO of their parent visitor (EXELON).
I have now spent more money trying to become a response than I owe them, and so I take given up. Luckily I teach chemic engineering at a U.Due south. university so this feel is now an illustrative case written report for both chemical engineering classes in the free energy field, and in a class I teach in new technical startup. Constellation puts pregnant resources into its marketing, merely its customer service infrastructure is dismal. Yous should avoid this company at all costs.
Original Review: I made previous complaints that Constellation messed my account and nib in diverse ways, and I terminated service with them. I am still non free of their utter incompetence every bit they claim I still have an unpaid balance with them. They failed to post a bank debit bill of fare payment of mine. I have the bank records and reference number for the transaction, just after several months I cannot go them to fix the error because I cannot penetrate the gauntlet of incompetence they call customer service. The people that piece of work for customer service are quite squeamish, but they work for an incompetent corporation.
I have filed a BBB complaint and will sue them in small claims court should that not resolve the situation. Exelon is their parent visitor and it follows a revenue model of virtual energy companies like ENRON (perhaps you lot remember how that turned out). They are energy brokers that move energy resource around and and then contract with local delivery companies that connect this resource to your home. Then they invest in the blank minimum level of client service infrastructure to tempt with short term utility rates, simply they cannot competently resolve issues when they make billing and business relationship mistakes. I switched to Georgia Natural Gas, and I recommend you contract with a local provider even if it is a bit more than expensive. Avoid Constellation and any of the subsidiary companies of EXELON which you tin observe at **.

The sales brand a commission and because of that the sales rep I had to work with, Angela **, was just spouting lie after lie well-nigh anything she tin can to get me to sign. I actually read contracts and I told her that multiple points were the opposite of what she said (basically I would get all these extra charges and fees that she said she guarantees I won't get). She stated that those points in the contract are inaccurate and what she is saying is the truth, yet she said she was not willing to email any of that because 'she's not allowed to put any of this in writing' which is very odd. I said I can ask the customer service agents in email and run across if they are willing to write any of the information dorsum.
She said "you lot know what, conspicuously you're not comfortable with this so you shouldn't ship annihilation and you should just think about what information technology is you want." Pretty odd too. So I emailed them anyway and turns out everything she said was a lie. And then I looked at the reviews of this company and I'1000 disappointed I didn't look earlier, otherwise I could've saved my fourth dimension. Plain, they have a reputation for their bad sales reps and poor service. I should've guessed when just to start service took a 30min wait time to get to a rep. That's always a bad sign.
